BREAKING: Stabbing Reported at Pentagon Metro Station - ARLnow

(Updated at 10:35 a.m.) Police and medics are on scene of the Pentagon Metro station for a report of a stabbing.

The incident happened shortly before 9 a.m. According to initial reports, a person was stabbed in the neck inside the station and has life-threatening injuries. Police are now looking for the suspect.

The station is currently closed for a police investigation, with trains bypassing the station.

A passerby described to ARLnow a gruesome scene.

“I walked when the police were running into the Metro,” said the witness. “I almost stepped in the blood and looked over to see the man lying motionless on the ground… [there was] blood everywhere on the ground.”

That was repeated by others on social media:

A man just suddenly dropped on the floor at the Pentagon Metro station and what seemed to be a lot of blood on the ground. 😳@wmata
